The fundamental series classes are meant to be taken for as long as they are needed for the student to acquire the necessary skills to be able to manage dancing socially in a milonga setting. Here we’ll go in depth into the concepts of leading and following, music and musicality, connection, basic vocabulary, floor navigation, as well as what to do and what not to do at a milonga and/or practica, in other words, the codes of tango.
No partner is necessary.
Who should take it ?
People who have taken either the Introduction Class or tango classes with other instructors. They may even have attended a few milongas, but generally feel overwhelmed by a milonga setting or even practica setting. More advanced dancers are encouraged to take this class as well, to review the fundamentals, which are often learned as a beginner, when maybe the student was unable to grasp the full ramifications of the various elements of the dance.
